DFID Minister hails “impressive setup” in Myanmar

This week, Marie Stopes International Myanmar was delighted to host a visit from the UK’s Minister of State for International Development, the Rt. Hon. Desmond Swayne.

Mr Swayne was accompanied by the head of DFID in Myanmar and local journalists, who were given an overview of MSI Myanmar’s work and a tour of our Shwe Pyi Thar centre by Country Director, Dr. Sid Naing.

Mr Swayne was introduced to the services available at the centre and shown how they link up with government facilities. He also heard about the communities that the centre serves, the impact of its services and how the team maintain service quality.
