Highlights

  • developed BlueStar social franchise network of private providers, with 300 franchisees across 6 provinces providing reproductive health and family planning services
  • increased number of clinics to 10
  • increased awareness/availability of quality HIV/AIDS information and Voluntary Confidential Testing (VCT) services
  • improved access to quality of maternal and child health services in remote / mountainous areas through training of Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) and Village Health Workers (VHWs).
  • 250 TBAs have been trained and certified for providing services, 92% of women in the project area now have access to trained TBAs.

  • expand the BlueStar national social franchise network
  • focus on corporate social responsibility and corporate donors
  • expand long term and permanent family planning services to reach women in remote and hard to reach areas
  • improve access to reproductive health services through expansion of MSI Viet Nam clinical network
  • enhance government capacity for youth-oriented HIV/AIDS Voluntary Confidential Testing (VCT) services by providing technical assistance
