Highlights

  • contracts with 70 Primary Care Trusts
  • introduced telephone consultations. This service has been well received by clients as it increases their choice and reduces the amount of time spent at the clinic. Over 800 women each month are taking up this option
  • opened 2 new clinics in the North of England (in Leeds and Manchester) – expanding access to services and increasing capacity; it has also allowed the UK team to offer more support to local Primary Care Trusts
  • streamlined services – there is now virtually no waiting time to access services
  • introduced medical abortion, and for surgical abortion increased the range of anaesthetic options available, including conscious sedation which increases the safety of the procedure.
