Highlights
  • the new centre in Midland, WA played host to Australia’s first “Pap Smear Express” campaign which aimed to raise awareness of cervical cancer. The team welcomed 20 listeners of Perth radio station 92.9, who volunteered to jump on board the Pap Smear Express bus to get a smear and encourage other women to do the same.
  • launched new research looking into the sexual behaviours and sexual health knowledge of teenagers in Australia from a teen’s perspective and their parents’. Sex, telling it likeitis: a parent and teen insight found that, of teens who are sexually active, a third had their first experience at age 14 years or younger, yet almost one in ten say they have not been taught sex ed at school.
